Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, fresh off receiving over $60 billion in military and economic aid from the US, told Piers Morgan that the domestic concerns of Americans are "nothing" compared to the needs of Ukrainians fighting for their lives and our help will not be "sufficient" until Ukraine "wins" the war. Asked by Morgan earlier this week about the "growing number of Americans who don’t think the country should be spending so much money on a war in Europe when there are so many problems domestically," Zelensky responded: "We are fighting for absolutely communal values. The war in Ukraine is still the war against those values that are professed in the United States and in Europe. Russian rockets can fly over a few thousand kilometers. And tomorrow they will have rockets that can cover tens of thousands of kilometers. What difference does it make? They kill civilians who do not agree with the politics of the president of Russia. So, this war here and now in Ukraine, and forgive me that I'm saying it so cynically, is for the safety of Europe.""Is there more America could be doing right now?" Morgan asked. "As the president of a country that is in a war, I can tell you that the help would not be sufficient until the war is over, and until we win," Zelensky responded. "Winning" in this case means his wife getting to be on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine in addition to Vogue. Follow InformationLiberation on Twitter, Facebook, Gab, Minds and Telegram. |
